James E. Camel, M.D., M.S., F.A.C.S.

Dr. CamelDr. Camel earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Illinois School of Medicine with Honors in 1988. After graduating with James Scholar Honors from medical school he then completed residencies in general surgery at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas and the University of Southern California/ Los Angeles County Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. He also completed a fellowship in pediatric surgery at the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. Dr. Camel currently serves as Chief of Surgery at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center in Torrance, CA, and has been active in multiple hospital committees. Dr. Camel has published multiple scientific papers in well known medical journals and has presented his research at national medical conferences. He has a special interest in advanced laparoscopic, endocrine, cancer, neck, breast, colon, and rectal surgery.
